With strong winds together with heavy rains brought by typhoons in Calapan that usually happens during August to November no wonder that there will always be flooding especially in places like Bucayao or even Canubing this is because of the low land where the said barangay are located.

These storms would usually have a big effect on the livelihood of each Calapeno because one of the most jobs here in our locality is farming or fishing. In addition to that typhoons here in Calapan usually will sometimes be  very bad when we are in the eye of the typhoon but sometimes just heavy rains. Usually this type of typhoons in Calapan can be prevented from causing damage because of the quick response and even ahead typhoon information dissemination. Local officials also usually take quick actions and go to every evacuation center when people evacuate and then bring relief goods in order to at least give the basic necessities of every Calapeno.

Mayor Arnan Panaligan before every typhoon will usually take actions and bring out announcements for students, parents and family. Also there will be a ready evacuation center when needed. During the said typhoon everyone will be advised not to go out and remain at their homes if they can but evacuate if they feel that there will be severe damage.
